(Reuters) – AMC Entertainment on Wednesday surpassed Wall Street estimates for quarterly revenue as concert films from pop stars Taylor Swift and Beyonce drew people to its theaters, cushioning the hit from a lack of Hollywood releases after strikes last year.
The company posted revenue of $1.10 billion for the fourth quarter, compared with analysts’ estimates of $1.05 billion, according to LSEG data.
