SPRINGFIELD, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – A 30-year-old woman from Battle Creek died from her injuries on Wednesday after she was struck by a vehicle on West Dickman Road near Barberry Drive in Springfield.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office says the woman was struck by an eastbound vehicle at about 6:30 a.m. as she was attempting to cross West Dickman.
The woman was transported to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo in serious condition. She later succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team is handling the investigation. At this time, speed and alcohol do not appear to be a factor.
The Springfield Fire Department and LifeCare Ambulance Paramedics assisted the Sheriff’s Office.
