KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The State of Michigan is looking to certify more people to perform lead abatement work and will host a free information session for interested residents.
The Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS) will host an information session about becoming a Certified Lead Professional on Tuesday, August 22 at Michigan Works (1601 S Burdick St) at 1 p.m. There is no cost to attend but participants are asked to register for the session in advance.
Attendees will learn how they can become qualified to work on lead abatement projects and share their experience level so they can be matched with the appropriate level of training.
According to Zippia.com, Certified Lead Professionals can expect to earn between $30,000 and $55,000 per year.
