WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKZO) — Congressman Sander Levin praised President Obama after the State of the Union address. Levin says that he fully supports the President’s focus on middle class economics. He also says he agrees with the President when he says that the United States needs to write the rules of trade and knock down the barriers to U.S. exports around the globe.
Levin points out that the countries engaged in the Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations represent 40-percent of the world’s GDP. There are a lot of vital outstanding issues in the TPP and Congressman Levin says Congress must maintain its role and leverage in resolving those issues.
