LANSING (WKZO) — Michigan’s unemployment rate now stands at 6.3-percent for December, which is the lowest rate since November 2002’s rate of 6.2-percent. Last month’s rate fell by four-tenths of a percent from November, and the number of people who are unemployed is below 300-thousand for the first time since October 2001. The jobless rate is two-percent lower than it was a year ago.
