KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — A Battle Creek man has been ordered to stand trial for stabbing a Kalamazoo woman to death.
35-year-old ex-con Christopher Oros had been spotted at the Claybourne Court Apartments soliciting money from residents.
Police testified that he allegedly gained access to the apartment of Marie McMillan, got into a fight with her and stabbed her 20-times.
Then allegedly coming back later and setting her unit on fire to cover up the crime.
The specific charges are open murder, felony murder, home invasion and arson. He was also bound over for jail escape for allegedly stealing a guards keys and finding out quickly that the guards aren’t issued keys to the outside doors.
Oros is being held without bond.
