New turf to be installed at Ford Field and the Lions practice facility

DETROIT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Detroit Lions will have a new FieldTurf Core system of artificial turf at Ford Field and their practice facility in Allen Park for 2023.

Team officials say the system is the best field they can install with the safest playing surface.

Coach Dan Campbell says discussions have been ongoing “for a while” about the new turf.
