LANSING (WKZO) — Seems the Pure Michigan Campaign has gotten caught up in the pure politics surrounding the road funding issue.
The Director of Discover Kalamazoo, Greg Ayers urged residents and County Commissioners to contact their State Representatives to tell them to protect the Pure Michigan campaign from cuts to raise funds for road funding.
The MEDC is the real target of the cuts. Its director brought up the popular program to arouse public opposition.
Lawmakers say they also like the Pure Michigan campaign, they say it’s The MEDC’s call where they make the cuts and the lawmakers also hope they cut something else.
