KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Not everyone is celebrating the nation’s birthday this year with fireworks, barbeques, and backyard parties.
The Democracy Defenders Roadshow will roll into town on Wednesday for a forum on two topics of special interest to the BIPOC community in Kalamazoo.
ISAAC executive director Charlae Davis says experts from the Roadshow will participate with local leaders in a panel discussion on gun violence and voter rights issues.
She says the event will be held at the Douglass Community Center at 5:30.
Kalamazoo Vice Mayor Drew Duncan says he is looking forward to it.
They are asking everyone who wants to participate to pre-register, because spaces are limited.
