KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo County Clerk’s Office is set to hold it’s final Town Hall Conversation ahead of the November 8 election.
The final series of conversations, scheduled for Thursday, October 27, is designed to engage and educate Kalamazoo County about elections themselves.
Residents are invited to join Chief Deputy Clerk Beth Byrd and Elections Coordinator, Shardae Chambers at the Edison Neighborhood Association to discuss topics including new district maps, where to vote, absentee ballots, ballot counting machines, and post-election audits.
The two previous town hall conversations in the series took place at the Northside Association for Community Development and the Zhang Portage Community Center. The final event to take place at the Edison Neighborhood Association at 816 Washington Avenue in Kalamazoo from 5 to 7 p.m.
“Elections’ law is ever evolving; this is an opportunity for residents to learn more about their right to vote and how our office prioritizes the security and integrity of our elections. Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy. Our goal is to establish more trust and public confidence in our election process by increasing transparency in election administration,” said Kalamazoo County Clerk and Register of Deeds Meredith Place
