MARSHALL, MI (WNWN/WTVB) – Drivers in Calhoun County will have to be extra alert starting on Monday as a pair of Michigan Department of Transportation projects will be getting underway.
Crews will begin nighttime pavement joint repairs on eastbound and westbound I-94 between Helmer Road and 17 1/2 Mile Road.
This work is in preparation of a $160 million, three-year project that will start next year to rebuild and repave 10 miles of I-94 and rebuild or repair 17 structures in that stretch of I-94 in Battle Creek as well as Emmett and Marshall Townships.
The work is scheduled to be finished by November 15.
Drivers should expect nighttime single-lane closures.
In addition, MDOT crews will make concrete repairs on eastbound I-94 near 28 Mile Road (exit 121) in Albion starting on Monday.
Work on that project is scheduled to end November 7.
Drivers should expect a single-lane closure on eastbound I-94 between 27 Mile Road and 28 Mile Road.
