KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP (WKZO) — No arrests have been made but the death of a toddler from Kalamazoo Township is now being called a homicide.
A post-mortem evaluation has determined that the little boy was struck with something and it killed him Tuesday.
The official cause of death is “blunt force trauma”.
Dead is 19-month old Nysuin Charles Lewis who lived in the 200 block of West Dunkley.
Kalamazoo Public Safety was initially dispatched to the scene and began CPR, even though it happened just over the line in Kalamazoo Township and Township Detectives are now handling the investigation.
