DETROIT (WKZO) — Jose Iglesias smashed a three-run homer as the Tigers took down the Orioles, 7-3, at Comerica Park. Victor Martinez belted a two-run homer and J.D. Martinez went deep as well for Detroit.
Anibal Sanchez secured his ninth win with six innings of two-run ball.
The Tigers are now one game over .500 as they start the second half, and they have to start winning alot of games if they are going to catch up to the leaders in the Central Division.
Ubaldo Jimenez gave up seven runs, seven hits and three homers for Baltimore to get tagged with the loss. Jonathan Schoop had an RBI-single for the O’s.
The next game is Saturday evening at 7 p.m.
