LANSING, MI — Voters are making their choices in Michigan’s primary election today. Five Republicans are looking to win the nomination for governor.
Two new polls of Republican voters are giving conservative commentator Tudor Dixon a large lead ahead of today’s primary for governor. She leads Bloomfield Hills businessman Kevin Rinke 48-percent to 13-percent, with Garrett Soldano and Ryan Kelley getting eleven-percent support. Another poll from Mitchell Research has Dixon leading Rinke 37-percent to 23-percent.
Meanwhile members of Congress from both parties are facing challenges in their reelection campaigns. They include Congressman Tim Walberg, Congressman Peter Meijer, Congressman Andy Levin and Congresswoman Haley Stevens, who are up against each other. Polls across the state are open until 8:00 p.m.
