LANSING, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Two local lawmakers have joined with 15 other Republicans in the Michigan House in a renewed call for Attorney General Dana Nessel to investigate the 2020 Presidential election and possibly bring charges against Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson.
59th District Representative Steve Carra, who represents Cass and St. Joseph counties, and 63rd District Representative Matt Hall, whose district covers Calhoun and portions of Kalamazoo County, sent a letter to Nessel this week “urging you to investigate, and bring charges if credible evidence is found, the Secretary of State of Michigan, members of her office, and any organizations or individuals for crimes related to fraud committed in the 2020 election and crimes brought to light in the documentary 2000 Mules.”
According to the letter, the recent release of the documentary unveiled additional evidence of individuals, referred to as mules who repeatedly would visit ballot dropboxes and deposit multiple ballots, allegedly for payment, in states with controversial elections in 2020, such as Georgia and Pennsylvania. Michigan was named in the documentary as a state that had such mules influence the 2020 Presidential election.
The letter goes on to say Nessel has “a statutory obligation to investigate reported violations of the law and we urge you to look into the new evidence brought forth in 2000 Mules and to review the security of our elections.”
There has been no public response from Nessel to the letter and requests.
