KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Western Michigan University is set to grant 1,868 degrees at the bachelor’s level, 422 at the master’s level and 31 at the doctoral level as well as one specialist degree to students during in-person and virtual commencement ceremonies on Saturday, April 30.
Graduates will participate in one of three programs beginning at 9 a.m. at Miller Auditorium.
· 9 a.m.–College of Education and Human Development and College of Fine Arts
· 12 p.m.–Haworth College of Business and College of Aviation
· 3 p.m.–College of Health and Human Services and College of Engineering and Applied Sciences
· 6 p.m.–College of Arts and Sciences and Merze Tate College
Those who choose not to attend the ceremonies in person can participate by finding the livestream on the commencement website.
In addition to the conferring of degrees and presentation of graduates, President Edward Montgomery and Dr. Christopher Cheatham, interim provost and vice president for academic affairs, will speak.
All guests, including family members and children of any age, must have a ticket to enter Miller Auditorium. Seating in the auditorium is limited and all seats will be general admission.
Guests without tickets may view the ceremony via livestream or watch the ceremony on a large screen in Brown Hall. More information is available on the commencement website.
