SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A man is being formally charged with open murder after a woman was found dead at a home in South Haven.
South Haven Police responded to a call about a unconscious woman at a residence on Pearl Street around 11 p.m. on Wednesday. They determined that she was dead and suspected foul play.
The next day, authorities arrested 36-year-old Randy Halstead of South Haven and transported him to the Van Buren County Jail.
On Friday, Halstead was arraigned on a charge of open murder and habitual offender. He remains lodged with no bond.
