BERRIEN COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — The body of a St. Joseph man who was swept off a pier with a woman last month has washed ashore.
Eike Krebs, 23, had been out on a date with Brandi Mannino, 24, when they ventured out onto a pier. Investigators believe Krebs jumped into the water after Mannino was swept away by a wave.
Mannino was found soon after on the beach at Tiscornia Park. In the following days, the search for Krebs was unsuccessful.
A resident in Hagar Township called Michigan State Police after spotting Krebs’ body on a beach.
Donations raised through a GoFundMe page are being given to Krebs’ family to help pay for expenses related to his death.
