ALLEGAN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The Allegan County Health Department will have free adult KN95 masks available for community members to pick up starting today.
Health department officials say their goal is to get the masks to those in the community to replace less effective masks such as cloth. They also say it would be helpful if community organizations would be willing to redistribute the masks. If community organizations would like to participate, they can complete this form (https://bit.ly/3rGV0D8), and pick up the the masks the next business day after request.
The masks are available at the Allegan County Human Service Building, located at 3255 122nd Avenue in Allegan. Curbside mask pick-up times will be Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., and Thursday and Friday from 9:00 a.m.-12 noon. Signs will be posted in the Human Service Building parking lot for pick up. ACHD asks community members to stay in their car for pick-up. KN95 masks will be given on a first come, first serve basis, while supplies last.
Free KN95/N95 masks have been made available throughout Michigan as part of the state’s Mask Up, Mask Right campaign. Find additional distribution sites at Michigan.gov/MaskUpMichigan or call the COVID-19 hotline at 888-535-6136.
