KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Three vigils were held Tuesday night in Kalamazoo and Mattawan to remember the victims three deadly shootings over the weekend.
Friends, family and others gathered at the Cracker Barrel restaurant, which was the site of the worst of the three shootings, to support the families of the four people who died and the 14-year-old who remains on life support.
Meanwhile, about 200 students at Western Michigan University gathered for a candlelight vigil and march.
A community gathering was also held at the Mattawan High School soccer field, where they shared memories about Richard Smith, 53, and Tyler Smith, 17 — the father and son killed at a Kalamazoo car dealership.
