KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Michigan State Police say 18 sex offenders wanted on warrants for violations of the state’s sex offender registration law are back behind bars after a week-long sweep in Kalamazoo.
The agency says 38 warrants were served after a compliance check of nearly 300 residents on the registry last year.
Investigators say three more people are still wanted after the sweep, and another eight are still being investigated.
Those found in violation could spend up to two years in prison if convicted.
