BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A threat made through Facebook has closed the Lakeview School District.
District officials opted to make the decision early Monday, notifying parents through social media and phone calls. They’re urging students and staff to not report.
Investigators with the Battle Creek Police Department say the threat was posted Sunday night. Emergency dispatchers received multiple calls from concerned parents during the overnight hours, though police failed to give specifics.
Investigators are questioning several people who had access to the social media account, trying to determine whether the threats were valid.
