BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — Battle Creek residents on Northside Drive and Hanover Street are being urged to boil their water after the city shut down a portion of their water system for repairs.
Residents on Northside Drive between Hazel Street and Washington Avenue and Hanover Street between Helen Montgomery Avenue and Northside Drive are affected, according to a press release.
The potential for bacteria to enter the water system exists whenever the pressure of the system is reduced to allow for work to be done on the water main. The bacteria are generally not harmful, the city said.
