LANSING (WKZO-AM) — Today is “Take Your Child to Work” day.
That’s of course unless you work in a steel mill, a slaughterhouse or at some other establishment unsuitable for children.
Carolyn McKecuen, the Director of the National Foundation that promotes the program, said it can be an eye-opening experience. Children are able to get a first-hand look at their future.
Rep. Aaron Miller of Sturgis will be participating again this year taking his young daughter to the Capitol.
It’s good to have a plan to keep your child engaged during their visit. Some companies plan to help in that effort, scheduling special activities for the children of their employees.
