VAN BUREN COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — A teenager is dead after his vehicle was struck by a minivan.
The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office said the woman’s minivan collied with the 18-year-old’s car at County Road 652 and 44th Street near Mattawan on Thursday. Investigators said the teenager’s vehicle went out of control and slammed into a tree.
Investigators are trying to determine what went wrong and if alcohol or substances were involved.
Three children inside the woman’s vehicle were not hurt.
UPDATE – 4/29 at 12:20 p.m.: The 18-year-old killed in the crash has been identified at Riley Manning, who is from the Paw Paw area.
