ALBION (WKZO-AM) — A former Albion detective has been charged with aiding and abetting and lying to police after he allegedly helped a couple charged with producing child pornography escape the area.
Norman Pittelkow and wife Nicole Jacob are accused of producing the illicit concent. They left the area after charges were filed last fall.
Michigan State Police investigators claim both were able to avoid arrest because they were getting help from Luis Tejada of Homer.
The married couple continued to evade law enforcement until November. They have since been charged with felonies in both state and federal courtrooms.
Tejada resigned in January. He is free on $10,000 bond.
Tejada’s attorney said his client is innocent.
