KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A $500 reward is being offered for information leading police to the vandals responsible for cracking and toppling 80 granite headstones at Riverside Cemetery.
Wendy Burlingham is with the city of Kalamazoo and says the damage likely occurred between last Saturday and Monday.
“We’ve have never experienced this number of headstones being knocked down,” Burlingham said. “This one is just unusual.”
Burlingham says some of the monuments weighed over 1,000 pounds.
