KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety would like to find the bow hunter who hit a carbon fiber arrow, the kind of sophisticated arrow used by hunters in the wild.
Public safety officers were called to a home in the 2300 block of Hazel Avenue on Sunday, where the homeowner showed them that a raccoon had been shot through the ear and gotten tangled up in a rope under the homeowner’s porch.
The officers managed to free the animal and remove the arrow.
Public Safety says the north side is a residential community and it’s a violation of city ordinances to hunt or trap wildlife within city limits.
