BATTLE CREEK/KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — This year’s New Year’s Babies did not wait long to make their appearances.
Just six minutes past midnight at the BirthPlace at Bronson Battle Creek, Daylen Albert Wilson arrived weighing 7lbs. 10oz.
It was the first for proud parents Mallorie Densmore and David Turner. He calls his son’s arrival a sign of positive beginnings for the New Year.
Just four minutes later, at 11:10, while the fireworks were still going off in Downtown Kalamazoo, Eleanor Lynn Behymer was born at Bronson Methodist’s BirthPlace. They had arrived at the hospital just 15-minutes earlier. The baby weighed in at 8Lbs, 5oz.
Parents Joshua and Meghan Behymer of Kalamazoo had planned on a quiet New Year’s Eve at home but it didn’t work out, and it was necessary to make a late night run to the Hospital.
The Behymers also have a 14-month old boy so it will be a busy year for the young parents.
