CONSTANTINE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A man who police say intentionally slammed into two police cruisers escaping a traffic stop in Constantine now faces felony charges in two states, after a high speed chase across the border.
A Constantine officer pulled the car over near the entrance of the Whispering Pines Mobile Home Park just before 3:00 pm Sunday for a license plate violation. They say the suspect backed into the officer and fled slamming into a County Deputy arriving to provide back-up.
Before he could flee again the deputy got out and smashed out a window in the suspect’s car and reached in. The suspect, identified as 23 year old Aaron Joseph Schrock of Indiana, allegedly fled, dragging the deputy a short distance before he let go.
The chase headed south into Indiana where the suspect eventually crashed on Indiana 120.
The car turned out to be stolen in Colorado. The suspect will now face multiple charges in both states.
