KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Last week’s polar vortex is causing a shortage of blood in Michigan.
Health officials at Versiti, formally known as Michigan Blood, say they had to cancel more than 80 community blood drives in January resulting in the loss of more than 3000 life saving blood donations.
They’re now asking for donors to roll up their sleeves, donate blood, and save lives.
