DETROIT (WKZO AM/FM) – United Auto Workers members on the picket line will see a small increase in pay and will be able to take a part-time job as the strike reaches its fourth week.
A letter issued by the UAW notes a vote was taken Saturday, Oct. 12 by the union’s executive board that approved Increasing strike pay, effective Sunday the 13th.
The vote also included allowing members at General Motors and Aramark “to take on part-time jobs without reducing their strike pay – as long as they perform their picket duty,” the letter stated.
