JACKSON, MI (WJXQ) — A prison museum in Jackson will close by the end of the year. Cell Block 7 will close December 29.
The museum at the former State Prison of Southern Michigan was opened five years ago after an agreement by the state of Michigan and the Ella Sharp Museum.
Museum officials say high operating costs are partly to blame for the closure.
