DEARBORN, MI (WTVB) – With 56.3% in favor, the new contract between Ford Motor Company and the United Auto Workers union is a done deal.
The contract was ratified Friday covering four years, giving temporary workers a path to full-time work, and outlining $6 billion in investment in plants in the U.S. The Flat Rock plant in metro Detroit will receive a $250 million investment by Ford to build a new product which the automaker is yet to announce.
Workers will get a signing bonus of $9,000 each with the ratification.
