KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The line turned the hallway outside the office in Kalamazoo County Headquarters set up to hand out the County’s new photo ID yesterday morning into a waiting room, as residents wanted to be among the first to acquire the governmental identification.
The program is meant to serve that portion of the population, that for whatever reason, is not eligible to obtain a state identification card or a driver’s license.
County Commissioner Tracy Hall says anyone who wants a card will still have to bring some documentation or papers that identify them as a resident. That could include bills, expired ID’s from schools, jobs, and any number of documents.
They are at the County ID website. The Office will reopen next Tuesday morning.
