CASSOPOLIS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Three young men who barely survived a violent rollover crash in Cass County were airlifted to regional hospitals after suffering life threatening injuries just before 2:00 p.m Saturday.
Deputies say they three were not buckled in and they suspect alcohol may have been involved when the driver 20-year-old Colin Schieber of Elkhart, Indiana, lost control of the vehicle on Quaker St. on the south side of Cassopolis strayed into the ditch and then rolled multiple times.
Scheiber and two friends, Austin Feldman and Gage Lambdin were all ejected from the spinning wreck.
The driver was transported directly to Bronson Methodist in Kalamazoo for emergency surgery.
Feldman was airlifted to Bronson and Lambdin was airlifted to South Bend Memorial.
Their conditions have not been released and the crash remains under investigation.
