KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — It was a few days late but we finally got some snow on the ground, just enough to leave icy roadways behind, causing a number of slide offs and minor crashes.
The worst was along a stretch of Eastbound I-94 in Calhoun County just east of Battle Creek near Beadle Lake Road.
There were reports of 20 cars involved in a series of slide-offs and chain reaction collisions.
It closed the Interstate eastbound for several hours overnight.
Road crews have been out and main roads should be no problem now that the sun has come out.
It should all be melted away by the time we greet in the New Year.
