PARK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a two-vehicle crash involving a semi and dump truck that injured two people.
The crash occurred around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday in Park Township.
It was determined the semi was originally Westbound on Michigan Avenue and was driven by a 62-year-old male from Grand Haven.
The dump truck was originally Southbound on Parkville Road and was driven by a 78-year-old male from Constantine, MI.
Police say the dump truck failed to stop for a stop sign at Michigan Avenue and struck the trailer of the involved semi.
The driver of the semi only suffered minor injuries in the crash, while the driver of the dump truck was transported for medical evaluation of serious injuries.
Alcohol, drugs and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Fabius/Park Township and Three Rivers Fire Departments.
