LANSING, MI (WHTC) – The group looking to revoke the state prevailing wage law by either the Legislature or through the ballot box says it has submitted to the Secretary of State’s office petitions with around 390 thousand signatures. Protecting Michigan Taxpayers needs to have just over 252 thousand of them validated in order to place the initiative before lawmakers first. MIRS News reports that the pro-prevailing wage group Protect Michigan Jobs hasn’t announced plans for a counter-petition drive yet.
