SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Senator Debbie Stabenow has announced a visit to South Haven.
During the visit, Stabenow will be meeting with South Haven city officials to discuss erosion. Stabenow will also be touring affected areas in the vicinity.
Lake Michigan homeowners have been battling erosion in the last few months, with some being forced to build makeshift barriers for threatened homes.
The erosion problem is alarming to the point that the Michigan government sped up the application process for sandbag barriers.
The meeting with Stabenow will take place at South Haven City Hall on Thursday, February 20 at 4 p.m.
South Haven City Hall is located at 539 Phoenix St., South Haven, MI 49090.
