KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — Health officials are encouraging entire families to get tested for COVID-19 in Kalamazoo County.
The Family Health Center is deploying its mobile drive-thru testing clinic again, this time at El Concilio on Lake Street in Kalamazoo’s Edison Neighborhood, for a bilingual testing operation from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, May 29th.
Holding it at the Hispanic American Council is an attempt by the health center to reach communities of color which have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19.
Family Health Center’s President and CEO Denise Crawford is also noting that since transmission is growing among family members, the organization is encouraging parents and children to get tested and become educated on how to stay safe from the virus.
