KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Public safety officers in Kalamazoo are investigating a shooting that happened around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon in the 500 block of Stuart Avenue.
They learned when they were responding that a 17-year-old Kalamazoo resident was dropped off at an area hospital with a gunshot wound.
The victim will survive.
Officers identified the suspect, who is a 16-year-old Kalamazoo resident.
They are in police custody on weapons-related charges.
No names have been released.
