COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Comstock Township is ending its contract with the Kalamazoo Area Building Authority.
The board voted six-to-one this month to give KABA a one-year written notice they were ending the deal, with township supervisor Ben Martin saying they need to take control of inspections.
Martin says “it’s time for this township to take care of its own backyard, its own residents, its own business and move forward in solely this board’s direction.”
KABA has done inspections for over a decade in Comstock Township.
