SPRINGFIELD, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 38-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, both from Springfield, have been arrested by Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office deputies.
Deputies were responding to a report of someone with a gun in the 400 block of North 23rd Street Thursday evening.
They got a call about a man approaching a person’s vehicle that was parked and demanded they get out, but they refused and drove to a safe location and called police.
The man and woman were found in the area and deputies say they were both uncooperative and causing a disturbance.
He was arrested for violating Springfield’s disorderly conduct ordinance, hindering, and obstructing and was also found to have a 9mm hollow-point round in his possession despite being banned from having any guns or ammunition.
The man is also jailed on a felony charge of ammunition possession.
She was arrested for resisting and obstructing, and her 9mm pistol and several 9mm rounds were seized from their home.
