PORTAGE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Portage Public Safety says a fire in an apartment in the 800 block of Barrington Drive Sunday night was extinguished within 10 minutes.
Firefighters responded to a 9-1-1 call about a fire involving a fan in the ceiling and found an active fire in the attic above a bathroom fan.
Other apartments in the four-unit building were evacuated and no one was hurt.
Just one apartment was damaged and one resident was displaced by the fire.
