FLINT, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Democratic gubernatorial nominee Jocelyn Benson says the Michigan Economic Development Corporation needs reforms at the very least.
In Flint Tuesday, the Secretary of State said the MEDC might need to be broken up and a separate entity created to focus specifically on growing small and micro businesses.
Benson says the state’s current economic development approach is too broad to address the needs of small businesses.
She did not say she has a proposal to introduce.
