LANSING, MI — It’s a bit early to be thinking about Christmas, but somewhere in Michigan, a giant spruce or fir is about to trade its backyard view for the brightest spotlight in the state.
The search for the 2026 Official State of Michigan Christmas Tree is on by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget! If you Has a 60+ foot spruce or fir, it could become the centerpiece of Silver Bells in the City this holiday season. The best part is the tree removal fee will be waived for the special tree.
