BATTLE CREEK, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Two search warrants were executed Wednesday by the Battle Creek Police Department Special Investigations Unit as they investigate narcotics.
They were carried out at homes in the 100 block of East Territorial Road and the 100 block of Enwood Street and police seized a “significant quantity” of suspected narcotics and several firearms.
The suspect is a Battle Creek resident who has a documented history of drug crimes and violent criminal activity.
Police say the suspect is exptected to be charged after a review by the Calhoun County Prosecutor’s Office.
The SIU was joined by the federal Drug Enforcement Administration, Michigan State Police Southwest Enforcement Team, and the Emmett Township Department of Public Safety in the raids.
