KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM)- The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety isn’t saying much, other than the body of a 44-year-old man was found in a wooded area late Sunday afternoon.
Aroud 5:40 p.m. KDPS officers responded to a report of a deceased individual found in a wooded area in the 1400 block of Parkway Drive. When they arrived they found the man, who was deceased and had apparent injuries.
They say the circumstances surrounding his death are being investigated as a homicide.
The victim’s name is currently being withheld until his next of kin have been notified.
The KDPS Criminal Investigations Division and Kalamazoo Forensic Crime Laboratory are investigating the death, but they say the investigation is in its early stages.
