LANSING, MI — As a pair of banks prepare to merge operations, several Lansing area branches will be closing as a result. In all, Fifth Third’s takeover of Comerica calls for 75 branch closures, with 55 of them being existing Comerica bank branches and the remaining 20 Fifth Third branches.
In Lansing, Comerica branches at 5510 W. Saginaw Highway and 223 N. Clippert St. will close. Meanwhile, a Fifth Third branch at 4815 Okemos Road in Okemos also will no longer be needed.
